It’s a small world

The spectacular mountains, cliffs, waterfalls and wildlife of Milford Sound, New Zealand, are a long way from the Schmon Tower, but students of Brock's Term Abroad in New Zealand program (GEOG-TOUR 3F97) felt right at home when they sailed its breathtaking waters, thanks to a serendipitous encounter. A familiar accent from behind the counter in the Southern Discoveries ship lounge led students to meet Katie Greenwood (BA '18), a Brock Sociology graduate who is now living and working in New Zealand as a crew members on the nature cruise team. The chance encounter was commemorated with a photo on the upper deck of the Pride of Milford with (from left) Jaden Fleming, Dikshya Kafle, Ashley Buston-White, Alyssa McInally, Greenwood (red shirt), Danielle Bernard, Erin Broski,Victoria Dougherty, Morgan Goel, Braden Curran, Emily Doucette and Kaitlin Johnny.
