Jennifer Kelly, Oenology Scientist at Brock University’s Cool Climate Oenology and Viticulture Institute (CCOVI), demonstrated the unique characteristics of various grape varietals to Deputy Secretary to the Cabinet (Clean Growth), Privy Council Office (PCO) Paul Halucha and Assistant Secretary to the Cabinet, PCO Chris Padfield during a campus tour on Wednesday, Oct. 16. The visit included stops at CCOVI and the Brock-Niagara Validation, Prototyping, and Manufacturing Institute to showcase Brock’s contributions to innovation and research. Halucha, who is also the Deputy Minister University Champion for Brock, and Padfield met with President and Vice-Chancellor Lesley Rigg to further strengthen the University’s ties with the federal government.
