Sam Nicholls has been a participant of Supporting Neurodiversity through Adaptive Programming (SNAP) for 24 years. With in-person summer programming cancelled in order to maintain physical distancing measures, SNAP is alleviating stress and keeping participants active and in routine with online home workouts. Here, Nicholls assists with baking while working on gripping and grasping, pincer grasp, supination and pronation, and object retention. These skills transfer to other daily tasks that will assist Nicholls with being more independent such as utensil manipulation, doing up buttons and zippers, as well as opening and closing containers.
