Members of Brock’s Yousef Haj-Ahmad Department of Engineering toured the Niagara Parks Power Station and Tunnel on Friday, Nov. 1, gaining exclusive access to Canada’s first major power plant. Students and faculty got to experience the iconic site and learn about its history during a tour guided by Niagara Parks Chief Operating Officer and engineer Marcelo Gruosso and power station tour guide James Boose. Now a hub for tourism and education, the Power Station and Tunnel mark a vibrant chapter in the Parks' offerings. With a renewed memorandum of understanding in place, Brock and Niagara Parks are set to deepen their partnership, fostering research and experiential projects that amplify the Power Station’s impact and educational reach.
