New international undergraduate students Yujun Li, from China, and Rui Cardoso, from Portugal, were among dozen of students who attended a Brock International Services Spring Orientation Session April 30. The event introduced all incoming international undergraduate and graduate students from across all Faculties to campus. The agenda was designed to help students living far from home feel more comfortable on campus. Participants learned important information, including how to obtain a student card, what health insurance covers, how to join student clubs, dealing with financial institutions, tips on finding the best places to eat and, most importantly, meeting Brock International staff who are there to support students who might be feeling homesick or challenged by language or cultural barriers. The orientation day finished off with a tour of campus provided by Brock International Student Ambassadors.
