Parking reminders for Welcome Weekend, Fall Term

As the Fall Term draws near, Parking Services is encouraging students, faculty and staff to familiarize themselves with campus parking requirements, payment options and upcoming lot impacts before returning to Brock.

Community members planning to drive to campus should keep the following in mind:

  • Parking permits or paid parking are required in all campus lots Monday through Friday between 8 a.m. and 9 p.m.
  • An evening flat rate of $6 is available for parking between 6 p.m. and 9 p.m.
  • Hourly, daily and evening parking can be purchased using the HONK mobile app. Payments may also be made in person at a Parking Services location.
  • Annual parking permits remain available for purchase by students, faculty and staff. These permits are valid from Sept. 1 to Aug. 31 and include access during the Spring and Summer Terms.
  • All Brock parking lots are subject to 24/7 enforcement.

Parking Services is also advising the Brock community to expect heavier-than-normal traffic on Saturday, Sept. 5 and Sunday, Sept. 6 during Welcome Weekend, which will see more than 2,700 students move into Brock’s residences.

To accommodate move-in activities, Lots B1, B2, 3, 4, H, J, K, O, P and Quarry View will be closed from 4 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 4 until 7 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 6. Community members are encouraged to use Lots 1 and 2 during this period.

The Parking Services office in the Campus Store will be open from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on the Saturday and Sunday of Welcome Weekend and from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Monday, Sep. 7. The Campus Store office will be open 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. and the Parking help desk in Rankin Family Pavilion will be open from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. daily during the rest of Welcome Week.

Additional information about parking permits, paid parking hours and campus parking regulations is available on the Parking Services website. Questions can also be directed to [email protected]
