Brock students are invited to a free open skate hosted by the Brock University Students' Union on Wednesday, Jan. 7 at Canada Games Park as part of Frost Week, a series of events and activities designed to welcome new and returning students to campus for the Winter Term.From cozy crafts to off-campus adventures, Frost Week is offering Brock University students a variety of ways to connect, have fun and kick off the Winter Term.
Running from Sunday, Jan. 4 to Friday, Jan. 16, the extended schedule of events and activities has been organized by teams across campus.
Student Life and Success (SLS)
- Wednesday, Jan. 7: Glow and Create Lantern Making Night from 3 to 7 p.m. in Market Hall
- Thursday, Jan. 8: Frozen in Time Winter Formal from 7 to 9 p.m. in Pond Inlet (co-hosted by Brock International)
New undergraduate students can also apply to be paired with an upper-year mentor through the Mentor Link program. Details and application information can be found on the SLS website. Mentee applications close on Monday, Jan. 19 at noon.

Brock Society of Off-Campus Students
- Friday, Jan. 9: Escape Room Experience at Adventure Rooms from 6:45 to 8:45 p.m. (tickets available for $15)
The Brock community is also invited to take part in the third annual Pow Wow on Friday, Jan. 16. Hosted by the Hadiya’dagénhahs First Nations, Métis and Inuit Student Centre with support from across the University, the event will feature dance, song, arts, cuisine and vendors. The Grand Entry begins at noon in Ian Beddis Gymnasium.
