Frost Week offers students a warm welcome

From cozy crafts to off-campus adventures, Frost Week is offering Brock University students a variety of ways to connect, have fun and kick off the Winter Term.

Running from Sunday, Jan. 4 to Friday, Jan. 16, the extended schedule of events and activities has been organized by teams across campus.

Student Life and Success (SLS)

New undergraduate students can also apply to be paired with an upper-year mentor through the Mentor Link program. Details and application information can be found on the SLS website. Mentee applications close on Monday, Jan. 19 at noon.

Brock University Students’ Union (BUSU)

BUSU will also be offering Free Grab and Go Breakfasts outside Union Station from 8:45 a.m. until supplies run out on Tuesday, Jan. 6, Wednesday, Jan. 7, Thursday, Jan. 8, Wednesday, Jan 14 and Thursday, Jan. 15. Graduate Students’ Association

  • Wednesday, Jan. 7: Drop-in Winter Welcome Warm-Up orientation from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. in MCC 300 (co-hosted by the Faculty of Graduate Studies and Postdoctoral Affairs)

Brock Society of Off-Campus Students

The Brock community is also invited to take part in the third annual Pow Wow on Friday, Jan. 16. Hosted by the Hadiya’dagénhahs First Nations, Métis and Inuit Student Centre with support from across the University, the event will feature dance, song, arts, cuisine and vendors. The Grand Entry begins at noon in Ian Beddis Gymnasium.
