Earlier this week, Brock University President and Vice-Chancellor Lesley Rigg welcomed Asahi Kasei Battery Separator Canada employees and their families, along with representatives from the Niagara Region Economic Development team, for a visit to experience the cherry blossoms in full bloom.

More than just a scenic moment, the visit reflected Brock’s commitment to ongoing collaboration with the company. It was also a chance to pause, connect and celebrate the beauty of spring in Niagara.

Asahi Kasei Corporation, a multinational company headquartered in Japan, is constructing a manufacturing facility in Port Colborne to produce lithium-ion battery separators, a key component of electric vehicle (EV) batteries.
