2025 Senate election results available

The results of the 2025 Senate elections are now in.

Voting closed for elections on Monday, March 31, with votes confirmed in accordance with the Faculty Handbook II: 3.4.7.

Seventeen nominations were received for the 15 positions available with a total of 380 ballots returned.

Congratulations to the following faculty members who were elected to the 2025 Senate with terms beginning the day following Spring Convocation this June:

Elected for three-year terms, ending the last day of Spring Convocation 2028, are:

  • Anteneh Ayanso (Department of Finance, Operations and Systems, Goodman School of Business)
  • Christene Carpenter-Cleland (Department of Biological Sciences, Faculty of Mathematics and Science)
  • Francine Vachon (Department of Finance, Operations and Systems, Goodman School of Business)
  • Paul LeBlanc (Department of Health Sciences, Faculty of Applied Health Sciences)
  • Yifeng Li (Department of Computer Science, Faculty of Mathematics and Science)
  • Gale Coskan-Johnson (Department of English Language and Literature, Faculty of Humanities)

Elected for one-year terms, ending the last day of Spring Convocation 2026, are:

  • Samir Trabelsi (Department of Accounting, Goodman School of Business)
  • Waqar Nadeem (Department of Marketing, International Business and Strategy, Goodman School of Business)
