Brock University recognized faculty members, instructors and lab supervisors who advance the use of open education resources (OER) during a recent Open Education Week celebration.
The University’s Academic Plan pledges to support the creation, adaptation and adoption of OER. As part of that commitment, and with the financial support of the Brock University Students’ Union, the Office of the Provost established an OER Grant program in 2023. These grants help faculty members and instructors offset the cost of replacing commercial textbooks with free open learning materials or with the adaptation of existing open educational resources.
