Brock University faculty and staff can make the festive season memorable for international students who will remain on campus during the winter break.
The Home for the Holidays program is back, offering a unique opportunity to share holiday traditions and create lasting memories with students far from home.
Last year, nearly two dozen students connected with Brock community members to experience local customs and celebrate the holidays together.
“The holiday season can be challenging for those separated from family, and this program creates a meaningful connection for both students and hosts,” said Christina Bosilo, Director of Brock International. “It’s a chance to foster cross-cultural friendships and share in the spirit of giving.”
By opening their homes or hosting festive outings, participating faculty and staff help international students feel welcomed and supported while showcasing the warmth of the Brock community. Whether it’s a cozy dinner, a winter outing or a holiday gathering, each act of kindness makes a difference.
To register as a host for the program, fill out a short form on the Home for the Holidays website. Registration is open until Friday, Dec. 6.
Both international students and prospective hosts looking to learn more about Home for the Holidays are invited to attend an online information session on Thursday, Nov. 14 at noon. Advance registration through ExperienceBU is required.
