Unions challenging government intervention in major rail, ports labour disputes: Associate Professor of Labour Studies Alison Braley-Rattai spoke to the Canadian Press about unions challenging the federal government’s intervention in major labour disputes. The article was featured in publications such as the Business Journal, Plant Magazine and CP24. Professor of Labour Studies Larry Savage was also featured in the Canadian Press discussing a similar topic, and the article was picked up by the Globe and Mail. He also spoke to the Globe and Mail about the labour dispute between Canada’s postal workers and their employer Canada Post.

Too Many Connections? How Aging Impacts Memory and Recall: Associate Professor of Psychology Karen Campbell spoke to the Association for Psychological Science’s Under the Cortex about the impact of aging on the brain’s memory function.

Canada Soccer scandal and Toronto Blue Jays trades: Assistant Professor of Sport Management Taylor McKee spoke to CBC Radio One about the fallout from Canada Soccer’s drone scandal. He also spoke to CHCH News about the Toronto Blue Jay’s attempt to land a highly sought after prospect for the upcoming season and a questionable coaching decision made by the team.

Taylor Swift takes Toronto: Professor of History Elizabeth Vlossak spoke to CIGL Mix 97 Belleville and CJBQ 800 AM about the cultural phenomenon of Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour.

Being kind is good for your emotional health: Professor of Educational Studies Sandra Bosacki spoke to Newstalk 610 CKTB about her kindness research in time for World Kindness Day on Wednesday, Nov. 13. Her work was also featured in the Niagara-on-the-Lake Local and ThoroldToday.

Trump, Tariffs and Trade: Associate Professor of Political Science Blayne Haggart spoke to Newstalk 610 CKTB’s Niagara in the Morning and The Drive about the potential impact on trade between Canada and the U.S. under President-elect Donald Trump.
