Educators, professionals and experts from across Canada and beyond will gather at Brock next spring for the 2025 Canadian Association of University Continuing Education (CAUCE) conference.
Hosted by Brock University Professional and Continuing Studies (Brock PCS) in partnership with Brock Conference Services, the event will offer professional development and networking opportunities for university continuing education (CE) staff and instructors. The conference takes place from Wednesday, May 28 to Friday, May 30.
“There is no better place than Brock University to connect with colleagues, share knowledge and demonstrate that ‘Knowledge Knows No Boundaries,’ our theme for this conference,” said Brock President and Vice-Chancellor Lesley Rigg. “Continuing Education providers have a critical role of empowering and fostering lifelong learning for all, illustrating the pursuit of knowledge is not confined by age, profession or background.”
Attendees will collaborate and explore how their continuing education initiatives help enhance individuals skills, promote career advancement and contribute to the broader goal of continuing education by breaking down geographical and institutional barriers.
“We are very excited to come to Brock in the beautiful Niagara region for this year’s conference,” says Coral Sawchyn, Manager, CAUCE Secretariat. “The combination of stunning surroundings and a vibrant community makes it the perfect place to bring together innovators and leaders. We’re excited not only for the groundbreaking ideas that will emerge but also to experience all that Niagara has to offer.”
The conference will feature two keynotes and a variety of sessions, discussions and panels covering new digital learning tools, inclusive teaching methods and ways to keep learners engaged.
“We’re thrilled to host the CAUCE conference here at Brock University,” said Nathan Cheney, Director of Professional and Continuing Studies, who is leading conference planning for Brock PCS. “We want to welcome our colleagues from across the country to campus and create a space where people can share new ideas and innovations for improving lifelong learning and professional education.”
Those interested in presenting at the conference can submit a proposal until Monday, Dec. 2. Conference streams include:
- Measuring impact and success: Telling the CE story
- Community impact: How CE supports local communities
