The sixth annual Yosif Al-Hasnawi Memorial Lecture: Promoting Racial Justice in Health Care has been rescheduled for Thursday, Oct. 31.
Originally planned to take place this past March, the free public talk will take place at Brock University from 4 to 6 p.m. in the Goodman Atrium.
Nisha Sajnani, Associate Professor and Director of New York University’s Drama Therapy Graduate Program, will explore how artistic media intertwines creativity and advocacy to amplify marginalized voices, shed light on disparities in health care, and engage communities and decision-makers in addressing systemic inequalities in health-care access and outcomes.
Registration is not required. For more information about the event, or ways to support Al-Hasnawi’s memory, please visit the Faculty of Applied Health Sciences website.
