International students receive community boost

Brock University students from Trinidad and Tobago recently spent time making community connections that link to both Niagara and their home country.

Through an visit facilitated by Brock International, students spent time connecting with members of the St. Catharines and Regional Municipality of Niagara Twinning and Mundilization Association at a networking event Sunday, Sept. 8.

During the visit, the Twinning Association presented the University with a $1,000 donation to support a longstanding scholarship for Trinidad and Tobago students.

Brock University has cultivated a strong partnership with the Twinning Association stemming from the official twinning of St. Catharines and Port-of-Spain, the capital of Trinidad and Tobago. The decades-long connection has empowered the University to provide educational opportunities to Trinidadian students. The donation underscores a continued commitment to supporting students’ aspirations and fostering cross-cultural exchange at Brock.

For more information on the partnership, visit the Twinning Association’s website. To apply for the scholarship, the Brock awards web page.
