Thesis defences — Aug. 6 to Aug. 9

The following is a list of thesis defences taking place between Tuesday, Aug. 6 and Friday, Aug. 9.

Master of Arts in Child and Youth Studies thesis defence    

Kira Prince, a Master of Arts in Child and Youth Studies candidate, will defend the thesis “A Glimpse into Neuroqueer Youth #Hashtags and Posts: A Rights-Based Critical Discourse Analysis of Power, Discourse, Value, and Identity from Neuroqueer Youths’ Online Assertions” on Tuesday, Aug. 6 from 2 to 4 p.m. in virtual format.

The examination committee includes Paul Hamilton, Chair; Richard Mitchell, Supervisor; Patty Douglas, External Examiner (Queen’s University); Heather Ramey, Graduate Program Director; and Shauna Pomerantz and Chelsea Jones, Committee Members.

Master of ​Science in Applied Health Sciences (Kinesiology) thesis defence

Isabelle Hill, a Master of Science in Applied Health Sciences candidate, will defend the thesis “Examining proof-of-concept and acceptability for a brief reframing intervention to increase exercise for individuals with Multiple Sclerosis” on Thursday, Aug. 8 from 12:30 to 3:30 p.m. in WC 204.
