The celebration of Brock’s 60th year will begin a lot like the University’s inception — by bringing together community.
Brock’s milestone anniversary will kick off with a public event meant to encourage a walk down memory lane, and a look ahead to the future, for University and Niagara community members alike.
Held Saturday, Sept. 21 from 6 to 11 p.m., the Skyline Celebration will welcome guests to the Podium — the iconic outdoor rooftop space surrounding Arthur Schmon Tower — for a night of local food and wine as well as live entertainment, including headlining act The Figure Four.
The evening will also feature Pop-Up Archives, offering a taste of the University history that lives within the Brock Library’s Archives and Special Collections.
“There’s no better way for Brock to mark the start of its 60th anniversary than welcoming our alumni and the community back to campus for an unforgettable evening under the stars,” says Lesley Rigg, President and Vice-Chancellor. “This milestone moment is about reflecting on all that we’ve accomplished as an institution since 1964 while also celebrating all that’s possible as Brock enters its next 60 years.”
The Skyline Celebration will take place during Brock’s Homecoming weekend, which also includes a stacked lineup of events from Friday, Sept. 20 to Sunday, Sept. 22. A full schedule is available at brocku.ca/homecoming
Early bird tickets for the Skyline Celebration are on sale for $60 until Monday, Aug. 12.
