Thesis defences — July 22 to July 26

The following is a list of thesis defences taking place between Monday, July 22 and Friday, July 26.

Master of Science in Applied Health Sciences (Kinesiology) thesis defence

Rebekah Feld, a Master of Science in Applied Health Sciences candidate, will defend the thesis “Effect of red rooibos tea supplementation on body composition and metabolism in ovariectomized Sprague-Dawley rats” on Tuesday, July 23 from 9 a.m. to noon via Microsoft Teams.

The examination committee includes Bill Gittings, Chair; Wendy Ward, Supervisor; Litsa Tsiani, External Examiner (Brock University); and Rebecca MacPherson and Brian Roy, Committee Members.

PhD in Biological Sciences thesis defence

Gregory Foran, a PhD in Biological Sciences candidate, will defend the thesis “Mechanistic Insights into the Notch signaling pathway through Molecular Condensation” on Tuesday, July 23 from 1 to 4 p.m. in PLZ 600F.

The examination committee members are Elizabeth Vlossak, Chair; Aleksandar Necakov, Supervisor; Rhett Kovall, External Examiner (University of Cincinnati); Thad Harroun, Internal Examiner; and Jeff Stuart and Gaynor Spencer, Advisory Committee.
