The Brock community is invited to a barbecue hosted by Dining Services in Jubilee Court on Wednesday, Aug. 7.Dining Services is inviting Brock community members to enjoy food and games at a summer barbecue next week.
The event takes place from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 7 in Jubilee Court.
“Nothing says ‘summer’ like a barbecue,” says Malcolm Dales, Director of Dining and Conference Services. “It’s the perfect way to bring the Brock community together ahead of the busy Fall Term.”
Diners can purchase a combo meal with a choice of hot dog, burger or vegetarian option, a side of chips and a soft drink for $11. Payment can be made at the event with cash, debit or credit.
The barbecue also gives staff, faculty, students and guests the chance to sample Dining Services’ made-in-house burgers.
“Thanks to a specialized machine press that we installed last year, we’re now able to make fresh burger patties and meatballs in-house,” Dales says.
This year’s barbecue also supports students navigating food insecurity, with $1 from every entrée donated to the Food First program.
