Come home to Brock and relive 60 years of history during Homecoming weekend.
Tickets to the University’s Homecoming celebration — taking place during Brock’s 60th anniversary year — are now available online. From Friday, Sept. 20 to Sunday, Sept. 22, a variety of activities combining beloved traditions, 60th anniversary events, and virtual programming will take place on campus and throughout the community.
Homecoming 2024 features the return of fan-favourite events, including the Steel Blade Classic hockey game, the annual Grape Stomp and a soccer matchup against the University of Guelph.
Also a highlight of this year’s festivities is the Skyline Celebration event, which kicks off Brock’s milestone anniversary Saturday, Sept. 21. Guests are invited for a memorable evening celebrating 60 years of Brock on the Podium, the outdoor rooftop space surrounding the iconic Arthur Schmon Tower. This unique event will feature Niagara food and wine, live music, skyline views and the opportunity to walk through Brock’s history at the Pop-Up Archives.
“We look forward to having alumni and friends back on campus for this year’s Homecoming, highlighting the Brock experience topped with the sparkle of a milestone anniversary,” says Kim Post (BA ’03, MEd ’14, BEd ’21), Director of Alumni Relations.
The University will also welcome alumni back to campus for Saturday’s family-friendly Badger Brunch, followed by a Brock men’s rugby match against Trent University.
Alumni VIP ticket holders for the Steel Blade Classic, held Friday, Sept. 20, will experience an exclusive view of the game from the fourth-floor lounge section at the Meridian Centre, complete with access to a private bar and complimentary stadium snacks. More information on general admission tickets will be announced later this summer.
For those unable to join Homecoming in person, return to campus virtually through a webinar hosted by David Sharron, Head of Brock Library’s Archives and Special Collections. The online event will highlight the important work taking place in the Archives and a display of some of its many treasures.
For alumni celebrating milestone anniversaries, the 25- and 50-year reunions offer a special opportunity to reconnect with classmates from the classes of ’74 and ’99. The celebrations include a pinning ceremony and a reception, where alumni will receive gold and silver cameo pins symbolizing their enduring connection to Brock University and their achievements since graduation.
