Relaxation, socializing with colleagues and giving back to the community will be the focus of Brock’s 22nd annual Employee Wellness Day.
Opening ceremonies will take place at 8:40 a.m. on Tuesday, June 25 in the Rankin Family Pavilion (RFP) Atrium.
Participants can check in, grab a cup of coffee and pick up their lunch and bike draw tickets starting at 8 a.m. at the RFP Welcome Desk.
With the event going paperless this year, participants will need to download the PheedLoop Go! app to see their schedule and directions to activities throughout the day.
The daylong event will include a local vendor market from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the Goodman Atrium and a barbecue luncheon at 11:30 a.m. in the DeCew Dining Hall.
Tickets for this year’s raffles, which raise funds for student awards, can be purchased from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on Friday, June 21 and Monday, June 24, and from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. on Tuesday, June 25 in RFP 214/215. Tickets are 25 for $15 or 50 for $25 and purchases can only be made in cash.
To help give back, Brock has partnered with Community Care Niagara. Food donation barrels will be available from June 21 to 25 outside of RFP 214/215. All participants and visitors to campus are invited to donate an item from Community Care’s list of most needed items.
More than 600 employees have already registered to participate in Wellness Day activities. All employees, including those who have not registered for Wellness Day, are invited to attend the opening and closing ceremonies and to access drop-in sessions and rooms throughout the day.
The 2024 Health, Safety and Wellness Champion as well as the bike raffle winner, will be announced during the Wellness Day closing ceremony at 3:45 p.m. in the RFP.
Wellness Day volunteers are still needed to support various sporting events and assist speakers and guests getting to their classrooms, among other roles.
