Thesis defences — May 27 to May 31

The following is a list of thesis defences taking place between Monday, May 27 and Friday, May 31.

Master of Science in Chemistry thesis defence

Quanjian Li, a Master of Science in Chemistry candidate, will defend the thesis “Synthesis and structural studies of nucleic acids” on Wednesday, May 29 at 1 p.m. in WH 147.

The examination committee includes Melanie Pilkington, Chair; Tony Yan, Supervisor; Jean-Paul Desaulniers, External Examiner, (Ontario Tech University); and Paul Zelisko and Jeffrey Atkinson, Committee Members.

Master of Science in Earth Sciences thesis defence

Pierre Simiganoschi, a Master of Science in Earth Sciences candidate, will defend the thesis “Multi-Scale Analysis of Climate Change: Case Study of Major Canadian Wine Areas” on Friday, May 31 at 9:30 a.m. in PLZ 600F.

The examination committee includes Melanie Pilkington, Chair; Uwe Brand, Supervisor; Anthony Shaw, External Examiner; and John Menzies and Martin Head, Committee Members.

PhD in Psychology thesis defence

Meghan Borg, a PhD in Psychology candidate, will defend the thesis “Understanding the Link Between Affinity for Solitude and Psychosocial Adjustment During Adolescence” on Thursday, May 30 from 1 to 4 p.m. in PLZ 600F.
