Coffee grounds for gardeners available at Brock Starbucks

Brock community members can give their gardens a boost this spring thanks to the new Grounds for Your Garden program launched by Aramark Canada, Brock Dining Services’ partner on campus, to reduce waste and give back to the community.

Throughout the month of May, Brock faculty, staff and students can visit Starbucks in Market Hall for a free bag of coffee grounds that can be added to gardens to enrich plants and compost.

Starbucks baristas are scooping the used coffee grounds into the original bags espresso beans are shipped in to repurpose packaging and further reduce waste.

Coffee grounds will be available at the Brock Starbucks on a first-come, first-serve basis until Friday, May 31.
