New offerings roll out in Market Hall for Brock diners

Brock Dining Services is keeping it fresh in Market Hall with the launch of the Starbucks app, limited-time menu items and a new loyalty program.

Grabbing a drink at Starbucks in Market Hall is more convenient than ever thanks to a recent system upgrade that enables customers to order ahead, collect rewards and pay for their purchases within the Starbucks app.

“This new technology allows students, staff, faculty and guests to enjoy the same Starbucks experience at Brock as they would at an off-campus Starbucks location,” says Malcolm Dales, Director, Dining and Conference Services. “Ordering ahead and skipping the line is a tremendous advantage for customers, not to mention being able to collect those valuable stars that they can redeem for upgrades and free drinks.”

The Market Hall location can now be found within the Starbucks app, labeled as “Brock University at the Market.”

While the Starbucks app replaces Hey Chef for mobile ordering at Starbucks, Hey Chef continues to be accepted at Pizza Pizza and Pita Pit in Hungry Badger as well as select locations within Market Eatery.

Starbucks currently accepts cash, credit, and debit payment methods in addition to the app, with Flex Dollars being added back in soon.

New loyalty stamp card

Badgers can fuel up in preparation for exam time with the new Brock Dining Services Loyalty Card. Customers who purchase 10 entrees from Market Eatery stations before the end of the semester can redeem their stamp card for a free all-you-care-to-enjoy meal at the DeCew or Lowenberger Fresh Food Company locations. Loyalty cards are available to pick up at Market Eatery and must be used by Tuesday, April 23.

Limited-time menu items available in March

Market Eatery’s lineup of limited-time menu items has been a hit with diners. Each month customers can enjoy seasonal and specialty selections from some of their favourite Market Eatery stations, from gourmet plant-based burgers at Grille Works to internationally inspired salads and wraps at Chop N Top. Limited-time options in March include jerk chicken nachos, an Italian hero baguette, a spring Fattoush salad and a steakhouse burger.

Menu options are updated monthly and posted on Brock Dining Services’ Instagram account.
