Brock students are invited to take part in a free event designed to help them develop as leaders.
The 2024 Brock Student Leadership Summit is taking place Saturday, Jan. 27 and will feature a full day of speaker presentations, workshops and networking opportunities that will help participants gain practical skills to support their leadership journey.
Taking place from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. in Brock’s Sean O’Sullivan Theatre, the summit is free of charge and will centre around the theme ‘anybody can be a leader.’ There will also be a keynote address from alumna Kailene Jackson (BA ’20, MA ’21), a Senior Policy Analyst for the Ontario Ministry of Health, who will offer insights on what it is like to accept failure as a leader.
Sixth-year Concurrent Education student Grace Chretien, who is serving as the Summit’s Chair, says students can begin or enhance their leadership journey while at Brock.
“I think that it’s important for students to become leaders because it will help them to build confidence and gain transferable skills that will support them in the future both personally and professionally,” she says.
