With the search now underway for Brock’s next Provost and Vice-President, Academic, the University community has an opportunity to provide input on the position.
Brock University faculty, librarians, staff and students can register for consultation sessions being held next week, where they can share their thoughts on the priorities for the role as well as the experience and characteristics the chosen candidate should possess.
The input will help inform the discussions of the Advisory Committee — chaired by the President and Vice-Chancellor — as well as the group’s understanding of the ideal candidate profile and position mandate. The University has engaged executive search firm KBRS to support the hiring process.
The hour-long sessions will be offered virtually for specified groups on the following days:
Faculty, librarians, part-time instructors and teaching assistants:
- Monday, Jan. 15 at 10:30 a.m.
- Tuesday, Jan. 16 at 3 p.m.
Staff:
- Monday, Jan. 15 at 1:30 p.m.
- Wednesday, Jan. 17 at 10 a.m.
Students:
- Tuesday, Jan. 16 at noon
- Wednesday, Jan. 17 at noon
A meeting link will be provided after the registration form is completed online. Registration for each respective session will close 12 hours prior to the meeting time.
Anyone unable to attend a session who would like to provide feedback can do so through an online consultation survey.
