On Saturday, Brock will mark International Holocaust Remembrance Day, honouring the six million Jewish — and millions of non-Jewish — victims of Nazi crimes and brutality during the Holocaust.
The United Nations established the day of recognition in 2005 as a way for all to learn and reflect on the lessons of the Holocaust and to strengthen the resilience of young people against ideologies of hatred. The date marks the anniversary of the liberation of the Nazi Concentration and Extermination Camp of Auschwitz-Birkenau on Jan. 27, 1945.
The day is also an opportunity for Brock to reaffirm its deep commitment to countering antisemitism and all forms of hate, prejudice and intolerance, and to fostering an inclusive and welcoming environment for all.
In recognition of the day, Brock will lower its flags to half-mast.
