Course collection, scheduling practices focus groups scheduled for February

Brock faculty, instructors and staff are invited to participate in a series of focus groups to provide feedback on the University’s course collection and scheduling practices.

The community consultations are part of a review of Brock’s course collection and scheduling practices and will be led by KPMG, a consulting firm engaged to support the project.

The following in-person and online focus groups are planned for faculty and staff during February 2024:

  • Department chairs: Tuesday, Feb. 6 from 9 to 10:30 a.m. in Sankey Chamber
  • Faculty members:
    • Tuesday, Feb. 6 from 1 to 2:30 p.m. in Sankey Chamber
    • Tuesday, Feb. 6 from 3 to 4:30 p.m. on Microsoft Teams
    • Thursday, Feb. 8 from 10:30 a.m. to noon in Sankey Chamber
  • Instructors who are not part of the Brock University Faculty Association: Wednesday, Feb. 7 from 11 a.m. to noon on Microsoft Teams
  • Administrative assistants involved in the course collection and scheduling processes: Thursday, Feb. 8 from 9 to 10 a.m. in Sankey Chamber
  • Academic advisors involved in the course collection and scheduling processes: Thursday, Feb. 8 from 2:30 to 3:30 p.m. in Sankey Chamber

Those interested in attending a focus group should contact provost@brocku.ca to confirm their attendance and receive a Microsoft Teams link if the session is online.

Faculty, staff and students are also invited to participate in an online consultation until Friday, Feb. 2, 2024.
