From high school students planning their next steps to transfer students and mature learners getting a feel for what is possible, Brock welcomed visitors of all ages to campus Sunday, Nov. 5 to discover the wealth of opportunities available at the University.
Fall Preview Day saw more than 3,700 prospective students and their families explore Brock’s main campus and the Marilyn I. Walker School of Fine and Performing Arts in downtown St. Catharines, taking in program presentations, touring facilities and meeting the hundreds of staff, faculty and current students on hand to answer questions.
“We were lucky to have a perfect fall day, with countless guests commenting on the beauty of Brock’s campus,” says Kara Kelly, Manager, Recruitment Operations and Communications. “Nothing compares to being on campus in person, taking in the scenery and experiencing first-hand the welcoming atmosphere that Brock University is known for.”
In addition to participating in Faculty- and program-specific presentations and touring residences, labs and other facilities, visitors learned about Brock’s many supports, services, academic programs and extracurricular activities at an 80-booth information fair.
Many prospective students attended with their alumni parents and were greeted by the University’s Alumni Relations team, who welcomed the returning Badgers back to their old stomping grounds.
“Departments across campus come together to not only make Fall Preview Day happen, but to also make it a memorable experience for everyone in attendance,” says Carly Dugo, Recruitment Officer, Campus Initiatives. “It’s an exciting day for all involved, as staff, faculty and current students get to meet future Badgers, and those thinking about choosing Brock get to experience what life would be like while studying at their new home away from home. We love showing them why Brock would be a great fit.”
