The Podcast Learning Network is open to all members of the Brock community interested in learning more about podcasting and focuses on collaboration, mutual support and learning in community. The network is funded by the Faculty of Humanities and facilitated by Strategic Initiatives and Outreach Officer Alison Innes, seen here presenting during a Podcast Learning Network event. Brock students, faculty and staff are invited to the next Podcast Learning Network event, which will explore ways podcast guests and interviewers can ask and answer interesting questions.
The online panel discussion will be held on Teams from noon to 1:30 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 19. Topics discussed will include the role of the podcast host, interview preparation for hosts and guests, and some of the ethical issues that can arise with an interview format podcast.
Guest speakers include Cassidy Cash, a historical map illustrator and host of the popular podcast That Shakespeare Life; Aven McMaster, co-host of The Endless Knot Podcast; and Cathy Majtenyi, a writer and Brock Communications Specialist focusing on research at the University.
The session will be of particular interest to researchers who may be invited to be guests on a podcast. Attendees will have the opportunity to ask questions.
