Brock begins strategic planning process

As Brock approaches its 60th anniversary, it will soon be kicking off the important process of developing a revitalized strategic plan aimed at helping the institution deliver on its mission of supporting students and faculty in the discovery of knowledge through exemplary scholarship, teaching, service and community outreach.

The University’s current strategic plan, Niagara Roots — Global Reach, was implemented in 2018 and was designed to guide the institution until 2025.

Led by the Office of the President, the strategic planning process will be highly collaborative and include wide ranging consultation with key campus stakeholders. It will be guided by a Strategic Plan Steering Committee, with representation from across the campus community.

“This revitalized strategic plan will build on Niagara Roots — Global Reach and help strengthen Brock’s commitment to the fundamental principles and priorities at the heart of our institution,” says Lesley Rigg, President and Vice-Chancellor. “The plan will reflect both what Brock is as well as what it aspires to be and provide a roadmap to help guide decision-making and prioritization into the future.”

The strategic plan will be developed over the next year, with plans to begin implementation to align with Brock’s 60th anniversary in September 2024.
