Registration open for fall continuing education programming

With a new school year now underway for students of all ages, Brock’s continuing education programs are offering opportunities for professionals in a variety of fields to advance their skills this fall.

“We are pleased to continue to expand on our new training opportunities for individuals in Niagara, Burlington and the regions we serve,” says April-Dawn Blackwell, Associate Vice-President of Professional and Continuing Studies (PCS). “We all recognize lifelong learning and career development is important for the social and economic well-being of our communities.”

Brock’s PCS programming is informed by extensive data analysis and community consultation to ensure it meets the evolving interests and skill development needs of lifelong learners in a changing labour force, says Blackwell.

PCS has multiple courses available, with registration now open for three workshops:

PCS also supports long-standing programming from other units at Brock, such as the Goodman Group, which is offering four professional development certificates for professionals this fall:

“Returning to school is an exciting adventure, and at the Goodman Group at Brock University we are here to make it an attractive and enriching experience, ” says Goodman Group Director Abdul Rahimi. “Whether you’re returning to school to enhance your career prospects or embark on a new path, we’re here to support your aspirations.”

Further programming is available through the Environmental Sustainability Research Centre, which offers the Leadership in Environmental Sustainability Certificate, and Brock’s Cool Climate Oenology and Viticulture Institute, which offers a Foundations in Winemaking Certificate that begins online in mid-September.

General inquiries, start dates and registration details for these programs and more can be found on the Professional and Continuing Studies Upcoming Programs page or by contacting ce@brocku.ca
