Meaghan Rusnell named Interim VP External

Brock is strengthening its commitment to engagement with alumni, the community, government and other supporters and partners with the appointment of experienced university leader Meaghan Rusnell to the position of Interim Vice-President, External.

Rusnell will provide executive leadership to the Government, Community and International Relations team as well as the Advancement and Donor Relations team. Marketing and Communications will continue reporting to the President.

“The aligning of these important portfolios will allow the University to better co-ordinate and enhance its advancement activities, government advocacy and community and international relations strategies,” says Lesley Rigg, President and Vice-Chancellor. “As a long-time champion of Brock in the community and a respected campus leader, Meaghan is the ideal individual to provide leadership for this critical part of the University’s operations.”

Rusnell has been at Brock since 2008 and has held progressive leadership roles in government and community relations. She is currently Associate Vice-President, Government, Community and International Relations.

“I’m thrilled to have the opportunity to help advance Brock’s strategic goals and continue building relationships with our many friends and supporters across the region and around the world,” says Rusnell. “Brock is an exceptional institution and I’m honoured to serve it in this role.”

The appointment takes effect Oct. 2.
