The following is a list of thesis defences taking place between Monday, Aug. 21 and Friday, Aug. 25.

Master of Arts ​in Psychology thesis defence

Tia Greto, a Master of ​Arts in Psychology candidate, will defend the thesis “Ignored Inequities: The Case of British Columbia’s “Stop Overdose” Anti-Stigma Campaign” on Wednesday, Aug. 23 from 9 to 11 a.m. in PLZ 600 F.

The examination committee includes Rosemary Condillac, Chair; William Hall, Supervisor; Dan Malleck, External Examiner (Brock University); Michael Busseri, Graduate Program Director; and Scott Neufeld and Shauna Pomerantz, Committee Members.

Master of Arts ​in Applied Disabilities thesis defence

Thurka Thillainathan, a Master of Arts in Applied Disability Studies candidate, will defend the thesis “Program Evaluation of a Specialized Treatment Home for Adults with Severe Challenging Behaviour” on Wednesday, Aug. 23 from 9 to 11 a.m. in virtual format.

Joint PhD in Educational Studies thesis defence

Tim Dolighan, a Joint PhD in Educational Studies candidate, will defend the thesis “Exploring Teachers’ Experiences of Teaching Online During the COVID-19 Pandemic: A Mixed Methods Multi-Phase Study” on Monday, Aug. 21 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. in PLZ 600F.

PhD in Psychology thesis defence

Elvira Prusaczyk, a PhD in Psychology candidate, will defend the thesis “Consuming Pornography Predicts Sexual Harm Against Women, but Only When Consumers Are Higher in Hostile or Benevolent Sexism: Multimethod Research Evidence” on Friday, Aug. 25 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.  in PLZ 600F.
