President Lesley Rigg to speak at Women in Leadership session

Brock University President Lesley Rigg will be speaking at an upcoming hybrid format Women in Leadership event.

During the talk Friday, March 31, Rigg is expected to discuss the unique path she followed to academia and academic leadership, as well as her experiences as a woman researcher in a traditionally male-dominated field.

Registration is required, and capacity to attend in person has been reached. Additional registrants will be sent a link to view the event virtually via livestream.

Following the talk, a reception sponsored by Senior Women Academic Administrators of Canada (SWAAC) will give attendees an opportunity to learn about the organization and to engage in casual conversation and networking.

Attendance at a SWAAC conference by several Brock women inspired the creation of WIL in 2018 and the initiative has since maintained an informal association with SWAAC. Members of the Brock community are invited to participate in the upcoming SWAAC conference later this spring.

Women in Leadership is committed to supporting and advancing persons who identify as women to achieve and succeed in leadership. All are welcome. Individuals are invited to join the WIL channel on Microsoft Teams or to contact Jeannie Mackintosh to be added to the WIL email distribution list.
