Reminder: Brock events to encourage ongoing mental health discussions

In recognition of Bell Let’s Talk Day, Brock University is offering opportunities to learn about mental health and participate in wellness activities.

Students and employees are invited to drop by Market Hall on Wednesday, Jan. 25 from 1 to 3 p.m. for a variety of wellness initiatives, including self-care stations, free swag and writing mental health messages on large conversation bubbles.

The Brock Badgers will also be recognizing Bell Let’s Talk Day during hockey and volleyball games on Friday, Jan. 27.

From Monday to Friday this week, the Brock Campus Store will be donating 10 per cent of its net proceeds of general merchandise sales to the Brock Student Mental Health Fund.

Brock employees are encouraged to share messages of appreciation or encouragement with their colleagues this month on the Be Mindful platform.

Details on the above initiatives can be found in last week’s Brock News article.

Mental health supports and resources are available on the University’s mental health web page.
