A letter from President Lesley Rigg

Dear Brock community,

I wanted to let you know how wonderful an experience my first week on campus has been.

Brock has a stellar reputation for being an open and welcoming place, and in my first days on campus, I can see that it is well-deserved.

The energy and enthusiasm of our students, faculty and staff radiates from every corner of campus. From the conversations I’ve had in line at Market Eatery to the tours I’ve taken of our world-class facilities, I’ve quickly come to learn that Brock is home to a community of incredibly dedicated, enthusiastic individuals.

Indeed, that enthusiasm stretches beyond the physical borders of campus. In my 25 years of experience in the post-secondary world, I’ve never heard from so many alumni – from all around the globe – all of whom speak so highly of their alma mater and what it continues to mean to them so many years after graduation.

I knew that Brock was a special place and, of course, was well aware of its renowned student experience, but I was not prepared for the outpouring of support I’ve received in my first week here.

Thank you so much for welcoming me into the Brock University family. I look forward to meeting you, and I can’t wait to see what we accomplish together.

Surgite!

Lesley Rigg
President and Vice-Chancellor
