New Badger Meal Plans, Catering Open House highlight campus food options

Brock Dining Services is opening the doors of its Fresh Food Company dining halls to all the University’s students with the launch of its new Badger Meal Plan program.

The new range of Badger Meal Plans offers non-residence students a variety of options for experiencing ‘all-you-care-to-enjoy’ dining at both the DeCew and Lowenberger dining halls.

There are four meal plan options available for purchase —7-day All-Access, 5-day All-Access, Swipe200 and Swipe100 — allowing customers to choose a plan that works best for their specific cravings. The 7- and 5-day All-Access plans provide unlimited access to both dining halls Monday to Sunday or Monday to Friday, respectively, as well as Dining and Flex Dollars that are redeemable at Brock Dining Services retail locations across campus. The two Swipe plans operate as a declining total swipe balance and provide the meal plan holder with either 200 or 100 total meals.

Each Fresh Food Company dining hall features nine unique serving stations and a rotating menu that has been thoughtfully curated by the Dining Services’ team of Red Seal chefs. Students can enjoy a meal with friends or quick snack between classes — from breakfast to late night — with everything from salads and pizza to hot entrees and freshly baked desserts available.

“We are thrilled to now be able to bring the Fresh Food Company experience to all of our students at Brock,” said Malcolm Dales, Director, Dining and Conferences. “Meal plan holders not only get a great range of delicious dining options, but they also have access to daily pop-up features, exclusive events, nutrition guidance from an on-site registered dietitian and access to an executive chef.”

Anyone interested in purchasing one of the new Badger Meal Plans can sign up online on the Brock Dining Services website.

Faculty and staff are also invited to experience all that the Fresh Food Company has to offer during Reading Week. From Tuesday, Oct. 11 to Friday, Oct. 14, guests can pay a flat fee at the door to enjoy the newly launched buffet-style lunch menu. Cash, credit and debit will be accepted. More information on the Reading Week event is available online.

Brock Dining Services is also hosting a Catering Open House event for new and existing catering customers from noon to 1 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 20 in Pond Inlet. The event will showcase the newly launched catering menu, providing guests with the opportunity to sample the different options and learn about the new possibilities for catering events on campus.
