The following is a list of thesis defences taking place between Monday, Oct. 3 and Friday, Oct. 7.

Master of Science in Biological Sciences thesis defence

Jessica Carlene Prosser, a Master of Science candidate in the Department of Biological Sciences, will defend the thesis “Role of Viral Infections in Rapid Prunus Decline in the Niagara Region” on Wednesday, Oct. 5 at 9:30 a.m. in virtual format.

The examination committee includes Cheryl McCormick, Chair; Jonathan Griffiths and Charles Despres, Co-Supervisors; Baozhong Meng, External Examiner (University of Guelph); and Ping Liang, Committee Member.

Master of Arts in Applied Disability Studies thesis defence

Autumn Kozlak, a Master of Arts in Applied Disability Studies candidate, will defend the thesis “Evaluating Preference Stability Across Psychotropic Medication Changes in Persons with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities” on Tuesday, Oct. 4 at 1 p.m. in virtual format.

The examination committee includes Dawn Zinga, Chair; Alison Cox, Supervisor; Hannah MacNaul, External Examiner (Assistant Professor, Educational Psychology, University of Texas at San Antonio); Rosemary Condillac, Graduate Program Director; and Maurice Feldman and Laura Mullins, Committee Members.

PhD in Child and Youth Studies thesis defence

Kristopher Brazil, a PhD in Child and Youth Studies candidate, will defend the thesis “Psychopathy as a Conditional Reproductive Strategy in Boys and Men: An Evolutionary–Developmental Perspective” on Wednesday, Oct. 5 from 9 a.m. to noon in MCD 350L.
