Members of the Brock community are invited to create heart-shaped messages to remember those who suffered in residential schools as well as through other forms of colonial violence.
The messages will be displayed in a heart garden in front of the Rankin Family Pavilion on Friday, Sept. 30 as part of the University’s observance of the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation.
Interested contributors are invited to visit Brock’s newly renamed Hadiyaˀdagénhahs First Nations, Métis and Inuit Student Centre (TH 145) Tuesday, Sept. 20 from 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. to create hearts with messages of remembrance, hope and accountability.
No registration is required.
Anyone interested in learning more is invited to email Hadiyaˀdagénhahs First Nations, Métis and Inuit Student Centre Peer Assistant Kaitlyn Austin at kaustin@brocku.ca
