Brock unveils new name for First Nations, Métis and Inuit student centre: Acting Vice-Provost, Indigenous Engagement Robyn Bourgeois spoke to Academica about the decision to change the name of Brock’s Aboriginal Student Services to Hadiyaˀdagénhahs First Nations, Métis and Inuit Student Centre.

Boosting office morale in a hybrid workplace: Assistant Professor of Communication, Popular Culture and Film Kate Cassidy spoke to the Globe and Mail about communications challenges that occur in virtual work environments and ways to overcome them.

Brock professors say dress codes remain an issue for many students: Child and Youth Studies Professors Shauna Pomerantz and Rebecca Raby spoke to Newstalk 610 CKTB about the ways school dress codes disproportionately target girls, non-binary students and students of colour. Raby also spoke about the issue with CHML 900. Meanwhile, Professor of Child and Youth Studies Tony Volk said uniforms do not lead to a reduction in bullying, when he spoke to the Jerusalem Post.

Largest field of mayoral candidates on record for a general municipal election in Niagara Falls’ history: Associate Professor of Political Science Livianna Tossutti spoke to the St. Catharines Standard about an increase in candidates running in municipal elections across the province and specifically in Niagara Falls.

LIAMforum aims to connect values-driven Gen Z with mining sector: An online sustainable resource development conference, which is taking place in memory of former Brock student Liam Zisman and will be hosted by the University, was the subject of a Northern Miner article that featured quotes from Interim President Lynn Wells and Dean of the Faculty of Mathematics and Science, Ejaz Ahmed.
