The following is a list of thesis defences taking place between Tuesday, Aug. 2 and Friday, Aug. 5.

Master of Science in Biological Sciences thesis defence

Olivia Rita Marie Bagshaw, a Master of Science in Biological Sciences candidate, will defend the thesis “Evaluating and targeting mitochondrial dynamics and plasticity in conditions of mitochondrial dysfunction” on Tuesday, Aug. 2 at 1 p.m. in MCH 313.

Master of Science in Earth Sciences thesis defence

Onyinye Sandra Okafor, a Master of Science in Earth Sciences candidate, will defend the thesis “Dinoflagellate cyst record and paleoceanography through the Pliocene–Pleistocene transition at ODP Site 1143, southern South China Sea” on Wednesday, Aug. 3 at 9:30 a.m. in virtual format.

PhD in Psychology thesis defence

Kiana Lapierre, a PhD in Psychology candidate, will defend the thesis “Investigating the Conditional Adaptiveness of Adolescents’ Aggression from an Evolutionary Perspective” on Wednesday, Aug. 3 from 1 to 4 p.m. in virtual format.

Master of Science in Biotechnology thesis defence

Mary Onyekwelu, a Master of Science in Biotechnology candidate, will defend the thesis “Transient and Pulse Electron Paramagnetic Resonance Spectroscopy on Photosystem I Reaction Centers” on Thursday, Aug. 4 at 11 a.m. in virtual format.
