Student, staff volunteers sought for Convocation

Brock University is seeking staff and student volunteers to help with Spring Convocation.

The new volunteer opportunities will take place on campus from Monday, June 13 to Friday, June 17 during Brock’s 111th Convocation ceremonies.

About 3,500 graduands from seven Faculties are expected to cross the University stage over nine ceremonies held in the Ian Beddis Gymnasium.

With the 2020 and 2021 Spring and Fall Convocations held online, the return to more formal in-person celebrations is expected to be an especially exciting and joyous occasion. Brock staff and student volunteers can help make the momentous milestone even more memorable for the Class of 2022 and their families.

Students are invited to apply to be volunteer greeters, while positions for staff include orators, gowning room attendants, way-finders, and ‘Alumni Alley’ greeters and set up/tear down assistants.

Applicants can select the dates and times they are available to volunteer. Staff must receive permission from their manager or supervisor if the times conflict with their regular work hours.

More information on each volunteer position is available on the Convocation website.
