Thesis defences March 14 to March 18

The following is a list of thesis defences taking place between Monday, March 14 and Friday, March 18.

PhD in Applied Health Sciences thesis defence

Jennie Petersen, a PhD in Applied Health Sciences candidate, will defend the thesis “Advancing a Youth-Centred Pedagogy that Fosters Physical Literacy by Working with Youth and YMCA Recreation Providers” on Tuesday, March 15 from 1 to 4 p.m. in virtual format.

The examination committee members are Brian Roy, Chair; Erin Sharpe, Supervisor; Douglas Gleddie, External Examiner (University of Alberta); Michele Donnelly, Internal Examiner; and James Mandigo, Ken Lodewyk and Cathy van Ingen, Advisory Committee.

Master of Science in Management (Marketing Stream) thesis defence 

Talha Afzal, a Master of Science in Management candidate, will defend the thesis “Silence is Golden? Evidence from Social Disclosure GAP” on Friday, March 18 at 1 p.m. in virtual format.

The examination committee includes Tomson Ogwang, Chair; Miklos A. Vasarhelyi, External Examiner (Professor of Accounting, Rutgers Business School); Samir Trabelsi, Supervisor; and Kareen Brown and Tatyana Sokolyk, Committee Members.
