A familiar six-wheeled mobile clinic will be returning to Brock University’s main campus parking lot, and all who are eligible are welcome to hop on board to get a COVID-19 vaccination.
With the Ontario government’s GO-VAXX bus set to visit the University from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 5 and Sunday, Feb. 6, interested participants are reminded to book their appointments through Ontario’s booking portal or by phoning the Provincial Vaccine Contact Centre at 1-833-943-3900. The GO-VAXX appointments are available to be booked at 8 a.m. the day before each clinic.
GO-VAXX buses are also once again accepting walk-ins while vaccine supplies last.
Along with the initial dates, there have been additional dates added on Monday, Feb. 7, Tuesday, Feb. 8, Wednesday, Feb. 9, Thursday, Feb. 10, Saturday, Feb. 12, Sunday, Feb. 13 and Tuesday, Feb. 15, which will again run from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Staff in the fully accessible mobile vaccine clinic will be administering vaccines in line with Ministry of Health guidelines. Anyone under 30 will receive Pfizer and those 30 and older will receive Moderna.
Students, faculty, staff and anyone from the wider community are welcome.
Brock students can also participate in Student Health Services’ ongoing booster shot clinics Mondays and Wednesdays at Harrison Hall. Appointments are required and must be booked online through the Student Wellness and Accessibility Centre booking link.
Other local vaccine bookings are available through the Government of Ontario website as well as through local pharmacies.
All Ontario adults are now eligible to receive a COVID-19 vaccine booster. Proof of receiving the booster can now be uploaded to the my.brocku.ca portal. Further information about vaccine requirements will be provided in the near future.
