Brock’s Professional and Continuing Studies is looking for feedback as it launches an external market scan and consultation process.

The consultations are a way to gather input for the future of lifelong learning options by the University.

As part of that process, a survey is now live on the Professional and Continuing Studies website where those in the Brock community and beyond can have their say and help shape that future.

“We understand that professional development, skills training and opportunities for lifelong learning are an important part of a thriving community,” said April-Dawn Blackwell, Associate Vice-President, Professional and Continuing Studies. “Input from employers, community members, our alumni and many other key stakeholders will enable us to build and enhance our programming.”

Brock Interim President Lynn Wells said continuing education supports the University’s goals.

“As Brock works to make progress on a number of critical initiatives outlined in the Institutional Strategic Plan, I am pleased to see us launch the formal consultation process to inform future programming and services in the areas of professional development and continuing education,” Wells said. “We look forward to receiving input from the Brock community and from our external partners to help understand how we can better be of service and meet regional needs.”

The survey should take less than 10 minutes to complete and is open to anyone — from Brock students, faculty, staff and alumni to community employers, industry associations and others. The confidential survey is being conducted on Brock’s behalf by Academica Group, a national research firm specializing in higher education.

“Alongside the rich data we will gather through this consultation process with our stakeholders, we will also use data analytics tools and insights,” said Blackwell. “An ecosystem of lifelong learning and career-boosting programming is something we look forward to expanding on when we formally launch later this year.”

As a thank you for participating, everyone who completes the survey by Friday, March 1 can enter a prize draw to win a $100 credit for future Professional and Continuing Studies programming from Brock.
