Workday Finance training available to Brock employees

Several Workday Finance training webinars focusing on expense reports, purchasing and financial analysis are available to Brock employees.

Sessions are typically taken by people who use Workday Finance occasionally and are interested in a refresher, or people who are new to the University or new to a role that requires them to do financial functions.

Workday expense report training will teach employees how to process Brock Visa Purchasing Card transactions, create expense reports for reimbursement of out-of-pocket expenses and use the Workday mobile app for expenses. An online session is planned for Monday, Jan. 24 from 10:30 a.m. to noon.

Workday procurement training will teach employees who purchase goods and services how to create purchase requisitions/purchase orders and will explain the process for making payments to suppliers, including how to request payment of invoices through the creation of supplier invoice requests. An online session is planned for Thursday, Jan. 27 from 2:30 to 4 p.m.

Workday report training will teach employees how to review and analyze the financial activity in operating cost centres and compare current year spending to budget, forecasts and prior year activity. An online session is planned for Friday, Jan. 28 from 10:30 a.m. to noon.

Interested employees can register via Focus on Learning. All sessions will take place on Microsoft Teams.
