The following is a list of thesis defences taking place between Monday, Jan. 17 and Friday, Jan. 21.

PhD in Chemistry thesis defence

Aishabibi Kassymbek, a PhD in Chemistry candidate, will defend the thesis “Reactivity of a Low Valent Gallium Compound” on Monday, Jan. 17 from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. in virtual format.

Master of Science in Biological Sciences thesis defence

Charlene Marcotte, a Master of Science candidate in the Department of Biological Sciences, will defend the thesis “Winemaking techniques to manage tannins of Cabernet sauvignon and Pinot noir wines made in Ontario, Canada ” on Tuesday, Jan. 18 at 1 p.m. in virtual format.

Master of Arts in Applied Disability Studies thesis defence

Avery Keith, a Master of Arts in Applied Disability Studies candidate, will defend the thesis “Acquisition of Joint Attention Skills in Children with Cortical Visual Impairment” on Thursday, Jan. 20 at 9:30 a.m. in virtual format.

Kirk Morrison a Master of Arts in Critical Sociology candidate, will defend the thesis “Beyond Drugs and Crime: Services Needed for Formerly Incarcerated Men in Cape Breton” on Friday, Jan. 21 at 1 p.m. in virtual format.
