BUSU to host an evening with Andre De Grasse

The Brock University Students’ Union (BUSU) is hosting a free mental health talk and virtual Q&A session with Canadian sprinter and six-time Olympic medalist, Andre De Grasse.

“This event came about in an effort to provide a unique opportunity for our fellow students,” said Faten Darbaj, BUSU Vice-President, Student Services (VPSS). “While we are once again studying from home, I am sure many of us will benefit from hearing from someone as inspiring and motivational as Andre De Grasse.”

De Grasse will speak on mental health and how to overcome adversities at any stage in life: whether you’re dealing with school pressure or standing on the Olympic podium.

The event, which BUSU organized in conjunction with other Ontario student associations, will be held via Zoom on Wednesday, Jan. 26 at 7 p.m. and is open to all Brock students. Registration is required and students are encouraged to write a question for De Grasse when they register. One student will be chosen to ask their question to De Grasse live during the event.

Students can register for the event on the BUSU website.
