Thesis defences — Dec. 6 to Dec. 10

The following is a list of thesis defences taking place from Monday, Dec. 6 to Friday, Dec. 10.

Master of Science in Computer Science thesis defence

Emilia Rutkowski, a Master of Science in Computer Science candidate, will defend her thesis “Weighted Graph Compression using Genetic Algorithms” on Wednesday, Dec. 8 at 9 a.m. in virtual format.

The examination committee includes Cheryl McCormick, Chair; Sheridan Houghten, Supervisor; Ke Qiu, External Examiner; and Brian J. Ross and Joseph A. Brown, Committee Members.

PhD in Psychology thesis defence

Elliott MacDonell, a PhD in Psychology candidate, will defend his thesis “An In-depth Examination of Personality and Aggression Across Different Contexts” on Thursday, Dec. 9 from 1 to 4 p.m. in virtual format.

The examination committee members are Brian Roy, Chair, Angela Book, Supervisor; Steven Arnocky, External Examiner (Nipissing University); Michael Savage, Internal Examiner; and Mike Ashton, Andrew Dane and Danielle Molnar, Advisory Committee.
